Rockefeller helps you keep in touch with the people you know. This page says what it keeps, why, where, and how to delete it. It covers the website (rockefellerapp.com) and the Rockefeller iPhone app.
To sign in we keep your email address, your first and last name, and your password (stored only as a hash by our sign-in provider, so nobody, including us, can read it). If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the name and email address they share with us, and nothing else from your Google or Apple account. With Apple you can choose to share a private relay address instead of your real email.
The people you add and what you choose to note about them: names, roles, companies, cities, email addresses, phone numbers, birthdays, anniversaries, how you met, notes, interests and how often you want to check in; the touchpoints you log; your gift ideas; and photos you add for someone. You decide what goes in. Only store details about others that you're comfortable holding and that they'd expect you to have.
Only to run Rockefeller for you: to show you your people, remind you who's due, and keep the same data on each device you sign in on. We don't show ads, we don't track you across other apps or websites, we never sell or share your data, and we don't use it to train AI models.
Your account and data are stored with Supabase (sign-in, database and file storage). Each account can read only its own data, and photos are kept in private storage that only your account can open. The website is hosted by Vercel, which also counts anonymous page views on the website (no cookies, nothing tied to you); the iPhone app has no analytics. Account emails (confirming your address, resetting your password) are sent through Resend.
Supabase, Vercel and Resend handle data only to provide these services for us, and are bound to protect it at least as well as this policy does. Data travels encrypted (HTTPS).
The app also keeps a copy of your data on your device, so it opens instantly and works offline. Signing out removes it from that device once everything has synced. If you turn on reminders in the iPhone app, they're made on your iPhone itself; nothing about them is sent anywhere.
You can edit or remove anyone you've added at any time. To delete everything, open Settings → Delete account in the app or on the website. That deletes your account and all of your people, touchpoints, gift ideas and photos from our servers, at once and for good, and signs you out. If you signed in with Apple, the iPhone app also asks Apple to end Rockefeller's access to your Apple ID. You can also email us and we'll do it for you.
If you joined the waitlist, we keep the email address you entered and when you signed up, and use it only to email you about your seat. Those emails are sent through Resend. To be removed, reply to one of them or email us.
Rockefeller isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
